Why we're here
ABB was born from a lifelong friendship, a shared love of beauty and wellness, and a vision to create something that felt different.
After decades of friendship — through every beauty phase imaginable — we found ourselves wanting more than traditional beauty treatments. We wanted to create a space that felt welcoming, elevated, and deeply restorative.
Avenue Beauty Bar was designed to be a sanctuary for modern self-care. A place where advanced skin treatments meet relaxation rituals, and where clients can slow down, reconnect, and feel genuinely looked after.
Our approach combines results-driven treatments with a softer, more considered experience — because beauty should never feel rushed.
More than anything, we wanted ABB to feel like a space people genuinely love returning to. Warm, luxurious, welcoming, and community-driven.

About us
Deanna has been a Beauty Therapist for over 20 years, building a loyal client base who have followed her from salon to salon over the years. With extensive experience across advanced skin treatments, beauty therapy, brows, lashes, massage, Deanna brings skill, care and genuine warmth to every treatment. She has now added Procell Microchanneling to her list of advanced treatment offerings.
Renae is a photographer by trade with a professional background spanning communications, content design, digital production and brand development. For more than 10 years, she has worked across the Australian health sector, supporting organisations with strategic communications, visual content, digital campaigns, newsletters, reports and stakeholder engagement.

Where you belong
Avenue Beauty Bar is located within the historic St Johns Post Office building in Whanganui — a space that has long been part of the local community and history of the area.
With much of the building’s original character still intact, the space has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined into a modern beauty and wellness destination while respecting the history and charm of the original site.
Our vision has been to carefully bring the space back to life with warmth, positive energy, and a renewed sense of purpose
